Caitlin Oliver is a Bachelor of Social Work student at Meredith College and will be serving as an intern with NARAL Pro-Choice North Carolina for the spring 2018 semester.
Caitlin first became interested in social work after reading about female social reformers like Jane Addams. Throughout her undergraduate studies, she has been involved with campus initiatives to increase voter turnout in local, state, and national elections. She is also a student leader within her social work program. With her peers, she planned a demonstration on campus that addressed racial inequalities. At NARAL Pro-Choice NC, she is looking forward to applying the knowledge and skills she has developed in her social work studies to promote reproductive justice.
Following her 2018 graduation, Caitlin intends to pursue a dual master degree in social work and public health. Specifically, she is interested in addressing maternal and child health population disparities. In her free time, Caitlin enjoys traveling, reading classic literature, and watching Italian cooking shows.
