Celebrate Abortion Provider Appreciation Day!
These mobile billboards are one way we are saying "thank you" to abortion providers.

In 1996, March 10th was established as the National Abortion Provider Appreciation Day in honor of Dr. David Gunn, murdered March 10th, 1993, by a white supremacist anti-abortion extremist. Abortion Provider Appreciation Day honors the life and work of Dr. Gunn and all of the courageous, compassionate people who provide abortion care.

As part of celebrating independent abortion providers this year, we have two mobile billboards with messages of care and support driving through Greensboro and Charlotte all day today. A huge thank you to our supporters and partners who made this public display of love possible!

Here are a few ways you can show abortion providers some love:

1) Submit an appreciation comment here that we’ll send along to North Carolina abortion providers!

2) Share this fantastic piece we helped a local abortion provider and a local independent clinic write! Send it to friends and share on your social media.

3) Show your love on social media! Use the #CelebrateAbortionProviders hashtag for your supportive posts, and be sure to like and retweet our tweets.

4) Thank the City Council of Durham for passing a Reproductive Freedom resolution this past Monday night! You can email all City Council members at council@durhamnc.gov

Abortion Provider Appreciation Day recognizes that everyone deserves access to the abortions they need, on their timeline, in their community, with a provider they trust, and with all the support they want. Sexual and reproductive health care—including abortion—is community care!
