Since 1977, Pro-Choice NC has stood with North Carolinians fighting for reproductive freedom. We've seen what happens when anti-abortion lawmakers go unchallenged — and we've spent nearly five decades making sure they don't.
In 2023, the NC General Assembly passed SB 20, enacting a 12-week abortion ban and stripping access from people across the state. It didn't happen in a vacuum. Anti-abortion lawmakers have introduced 30+ bills targeting abortion access in North Carolina since 2010 alone.
